Transit Fares & Passes

Transit Fare Increase Effective September 1, 2024

Starting Sept.1, 2024, North Bay Transit fares will be increasing. The first fare adjustment since 2015, the increase will be used to help offset rising costs that transit has been experiencing over the past nine years, including those related to vehicle operation, fuel, and materials.

Here’s a breakdown of the new fare structure:

Cash Fare & Single Trip Cards: Increasing by 25 cents to $3.25 (up from $3)
Multiple Fare Cards (10-trip): Increasing to $29.25 (up from $27)
Adult Monthly Passes: Increasing to $93 (up from $86)
Student Monthly Passes: Increasing to $77 (up from $71)
Reduced Monthly Passes: Increasing to $66 (up from $61)
Day Passes: Increasing to $9 (up from $8)

Children 12 and under

Up to three children 12 years of age and under are able to travel for free with a fare paying parent(s) or guardian(s) during all service hours.

Families

Up to three children under the age of 16 can ride free with their fare paying parent(s) or guardian(s): Weekdays Monday to Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the end of day service and weekends beginning Friday at 5:00 p.m. through until the end of day service Sunday.
