Tandem Truck Driver/Snowplow (Temporary Indefinite)

Under the direction of the Roads Supervisor, operates snowplow truck and operates truck to transport various materials. Circle checks and performs minor equipment maintenance and adjustments. Completes reports.

Qualifications:
• Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent acceptable experience
• Must have a minimum of one year experience in operation of a single operator truck over 18,000 GVW with a combination plow with wing and sanding unit
• Must hold a valid Ontario class “D” driver’s license with a “Z” endorsement
• Must have a good driving record
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the operation of a snowplow truck
• Must have completed a driver’s examination administered by the Manager of Roads and Traffic

Hours of Work: 0730hrs to 1600hrs - Monday to Friday; subject to terms in Winter Control Letter of Understanding

Environment: Unionized

Rate of Pay: $29.45 per hour
