City offers free March Break programming

North Bay, ON – March 2, 2026 – The City of North Bay is offering a week of free activities for residents of all ages during March Break.

 

Monday, March 16 – Hot Cocoa & Crafts

1 to 3 p.m. at the Caldwell Ellam Community Centre

Spend the afternoon getting creative with crafts while enjoying a warm cup of hot chocolate. Weather permitting, outdoor music and games will also be available, if the rink remains open.

 

Tuesday, March 17 – Open Swim

2 to 3:30 p.m. at the YMCA

Cool off and stay active with a free open swim at the YMCA. Whether you’re swimming laps or enjoying time in the water with family and friends, it’s a great way to spend a March Break afternoon.

 

Wednesday, March 18 – Silent Disco Skate

11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens

Experience the arena in a whole new way with an all-ages Silent Disco Skate hosted by Sound Freqz Entertainment. Participants will receive wireless headphones with multiple music channels, and games and interactive challenges will add to the fun. Headphone pickup begins at 10:30 a.m.

 

Thursday, March 19 – Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence

12 to 4 p.m. at 22 Wing/CFB North Bay (33 Manston Crescent)

Take the opportunity to explore local and national aerospace defence history through engaging exhibits and artifacts.

 

Friday, March 20 – Open Swim

2 to 3:30 p.m. at the YMCA

Wrap up the week with another opportunity to enjoy a free open swim at the YMCA.
