North Bay, ON – June 2, 2026 – The City of North Bay is seeking submissions for naming rights opportunities at the new North Bay Community Recreation Centre, currently under construction at the Steve Omischl Sports Complex.
A Request for Quotations is open for naming rights for the Community Recreation Centre and select interior features, including the two ice pads, walking/running track, community meeting room, accessible elevator, and dressing rooms.
When completed, the North Bay Community Recreation Centre will serve as a year-round destination for recreation, sport, fitness, and community programming. The facility has been designed to meet Version 3 of the Canada Green Building Council's Zero Carbon Building Design Standard and will be among the first net-zero carbon recreational facilities in Canada.
Expected to welcome tens of thousands of residents and visitors annually, the facility provides sponsors with long-term visibility while supporting a community asset focused on active living, accessibility, and environmental sustainability.
Naming rights agreements will have an initial five-year term, with an option to extend for an additional five years.
The deadline for submissions is June 9 at 1 p.m. Interested organizations are encouraged to review the official RFQ documents and submission requirements through Bids & Tenders.
