The City of North Bay advises that crews will be conducting work this week at the downtown parkette bounded by Main Street West, Algonquin Avenue and Cassells Street to prepare for the installation of a plaque honouring the late George Maroosis, a long-serving former City councillor.
City Council approved naming the parkette The George Maroosis Parkette in his honour in 2025.
Residents may see crews and equipment in the area while the work is underway.
