The City of North Bay is advising residents that final paving on McKeown Avenue will begin Monday, July 27. The work is expected to take up to four days to complete, subject to weather conditions and other operational requirements.
During paving, one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained. Temporary road closures may be required on McNamara Street and Cartier Street; however, both roads will not be closed at the same time, with either Cartier Street or McNamara Street remaining open to traffic.
The McKeown Avenue project has included road widening, underground infrastructure improvements, new active transportation connections, and intersection upgrades to improve safety and traffic flow.
The project is nearing completion, with some remaining work, including final restoration and other finishing activities, expected to continue over the coming weeks.
The City thanks residents, businesses, and motorists for their continued patience and cooperation throughout the construction project.
