North Bay, ON – May 26, 2026 – Armed Forces Day is returning to North Bay on June 10, bringing the Snowbirds, SkyHawks and military displays back to the waterfront.
This year’s lineup, featuring the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the Canadian Armed Forces SkyHawks Parachute team, was officially announced during a launch held today by the City of North Bay with the support of the Honorary Colonels at 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base North Bay.
“Armed Forces Day gives the community a chance to come together and show appreciation for the Canadian Armed Forces and our allied partners,” said Mayor Peter Chirico. “We encourage everyone to join us June 10 at the waterfront for a great day of celebration and support.”
Armed Forces Day 2026 will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. (weather permitting and subject to change) at the North Bay Waterfront and all activities and entertainment are free to the public. Memorial Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.
School-aged children from local school boards and the public are invited to arrive at 10 a.m. to listen to the 22 Wing Band, walk through military static displays, including those highlighting the Algonquin Regiment of Canada, 33 Service Battalion, 22 Military Police Flight, Canadian Forces Museum of Aerospace Defence, United States Air Force and more.
“Armed Forces Day highlights the strong and long-standing presence of the Canadian Armed Forces and our allied partners here in North Bay,” said Honorary Colonel Scott Tod. “It’s an opportunity for residents to see firsthand the people, capabilities and partnerships that operate out of 22 Wing and support NORAD every day.”
Armed Forces Day is held annually in North Bay to recognize members of the Canadian Armed Forces and United States Air Force who, through NORAD and in support of the Canadian Air Defence Sector at 22 Wing/Canadian Forces Base North Bay, have been part of the North Bay community for more than 70 years while contributing to a successful bi-national air defence mission.
