The North Bay Police is committed to deploying resources in a cost effective and efficient manner to deal with some of the issues the City is facing. There has been a lot of attention surrounding the Downtown in recent years.
To address some of these concerns, the North Bay Police Service established the Community Response Unit. The unit consists of 4 officers and 1 sergeant who are deployed to help address concerns within our community. Although not specifically assigned to the Downtown Core, they are deployed to address the concerns of citizens, increased crime or problem areas wherever they may occur.
Members of the unit usually work in uniform but are occasionally assigned to a plain clothes detail to target specific problems such as minor thefts or property damage.
