North Bay, ON – Nov. 25, 2020 – The City of North Bay has reached a new collective agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 122-1.
The five-year agreement, which covers the period from Jan. 1, 2020 to Dec. 31, 2024, was approved by North Bay City Council Tuesday during its regular meeting. Ratification by the union occurred earlier this month.
Members of CUPE will receive a wage increase of 1.6 per cent for the first year of the contract, followed by 0.6 per cent in 2021 and 2022, 1.5 per cent in 2023 and 1.75 in 2024.
“I would like to thank the bargaining team members who worked collectively to reach a fair agreement for both the employees and the residents of the City of North Bay,” said Mayor Al McDonald. “This five-year contract comes at challenging time and will ensure that services will continue to be delivered to the community safely and efficiently without disruption.”
