North Bay, ON – Feb. 10, 2023 – The City of North Bay will be conducting overnight snow-removal on several main road arteries starting this Sunday.
Crews and contractors will be working 10-hour shifts from 10 p.m. until 8 a.m. until Thursday to clear snowbanks along City streets, including sections of Trout Lake Road, Cassells and Olive streets and McKeown Avenue.
Road closures will be required to facilitate the snow removal operations and residents are asked to use alternative routes while the work is underway. Local access will be maintained.
Residents are also reminded that on-street parking is restricted when snow removal signs are posted.
The work will begin Sunday/Monday, with crews and contractors focusing their efforts on Trout Lake Road, between the Highway 11/17 bypass and Mountainview Drive.
On Monday/Tuesday, crews and contractors will begin working on Cassells Street, between the Highway 11/17 bypass and Oak Street. That work will continue Tuesday/Wednesday and will include a section of Olive Street, between Cassells and High streets.
Crews and contractors will shift to McKeown Avenue on Wednesday/Thursday starting at Algonquin Avenue and working their way toward Gormanville Road.
Daytime snow removal during this period will be focused on priority areas including those with poor drainage.
Please keep in mind that this schedule is weather dependant and could change if our crews are required to refocus their efforts on plowing should we receive significant snowfall.
Additional updates and scheduling will be provided as snow removal operations continue over the next several weeks.
