After School Program
The After School Program is free to the public and runs concurrently with the school year at two locations. Programs will be running at Circle Lake Community Centre Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and at Caldwell-Ellam Community Centre Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:00pm-6:00pm.
The After School Program mandate is entirely dedicated to facilitating sustainable, safe and supportive recreation programming for our youth to feel engaged and empowered.
Children can participate in programs such as:
- Physical activity
- Healthy eating
- Health & wellness
- Arts & crafts
In order for participants to access activities in a safe and productive manner, please send your children with
- Appropriate footwear
- Refillable water-bottle
- Comfortable physical education attire
- Weather appropriate outdoor attire

Summer Youth Centre
The Summer Youth Program offers participants a safe and nurturing environment to learn more about physical activity, nutrition, and healthy living. The City of North Bay’s Summer Youth Program will run from July 2 to August 23, and is available at the following locations:
Caldwell Ellem Community Centre: Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Circle Lake Community Centre: Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Elmwood Community Hub: Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Each location can accommodate a maximum of participants ages 6-12.
Children can participate in programs such as:
