On April 14, 1925, North Bay received “City” status with a population of over 12,000. In 2025, the City of North Bay will celebrate its 100th anniversary, and we hope you will join us.
North Bay has grown and evolved since it became a City in 1925, and recognizing this milestone will create an opportunity to reflect on where the City has come from and look ahead to where we could go.
We invite community members to join us as we mark this special occasion with a series of events, activities, and commemorative projects over the year.
Community groups can join in participating in North Bay’s 100th Celebration, host an event, let us know of your event, and submit a request for the use of the Centennial logo to promote your event.

To mark North Bay’s 100th anniversary, the North Bay Municipal Heritage Committee (NBMHC) invites photographers of all ages to enter its 2025 contest, Through the Lens of Time: Celebrating 100 Years of Design. This year’s theme highlights the connection between architecture and the natural elements of air, water, and land — key elements also represented in the City’s Centennial logo.
The City of North Bay is looking for residents of North Bay who were born in 1925. The city of North Bay is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025 and if you are turning 100 years old we invite you to submit your name and information so we can recognize you and celebrate our 100th birthday together! Residents who submit will receive a birthday card from Mayor Chirico as well as a shout out on the local radio station on your specific birth date in 2025. Let’s celebrate together!
