North Bay Fire and Emergency Services delivers a range of programs designed to protect the lives and property of the residents from fires, sudden medical emergencies, or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature; first to those within the municipality; second to those municipalities requiring assistance through authorized emergency fire service plan and program (mutual aid) activities; and third, to those municipalities which are provided fire protection by the fire department via authorized agreement.
Currently, the departments is comprised of four fire stations, of which three are staffed with 74 fire fighters, captains and platoon chief’s, one captain of fire prevention, two fire prevention officers, two deputy chiefs , one chief and two administrative assistants. Fire Station 1 houses the fire prevention staff, the chiefs and administration, and is located at 119 Princess St. West, beside the North Bay Police Service headquarters. Fire Station 2 is located at 900 McKeown Ave., Fire Station 3 is located at 128 Marshall Ave. and Fire Station 4 is at Canadian Forces Base North Bay.
