    North Bay, ON – Jan. 13, 2020 – Children aged 12 and under are now able to ride North Bay Transit buses for free.

    North Bay, ON – Jan. 9, 2020 – Year-end building permit numbers show that 2019 was the second highest construction year on record in North Bay.
  • Carmichael Drive to Remain Closed
    North Bay, ON – September 13, 2019 – Carmichael Drive between Ayr Street and Airport Road (east end) will remain closed until Sept. 20th while crews complete the replacement of two road cross culverts.
  • Notice of Booth Road Closure
    North Bay, ON – September 13, 2019 – In order to expedite the rehabilitation of Booth Road, the contractor will be closing Booth Road from Lakeshore Drive to Ferris Drive to through traffic beginning Monday, September 16th.
  • Road Work: Widdifield Station Road
    North Bay, ON – Oct. 15, 2021 – A portion of Widdifield Station Road will be closed on Monday, Oct 18th from 7a.m. until 7 p.m. for final refurbishment and asphalt paving at the Ontario Northland Railway crossing.
  • Watermain repair: O’Brien Street
    North Bay, ON – Dec. 21, 2022 – Please be advised that City crews have responded to a watermain break on O’Brien Street between Milani Road and Airport Road. The northbound lane of O’Brien Street will be closed for most of the day while the emergency repair is underway. The City of North Bay apologizes for any inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience.
  • Fields closed due to rain (1)
    North Bay, ON – June 27, 2023 – Due to extremely wet conditions, most ball diamonds, soccer fields and football fields have been closed today. All games and practices are cancelled. Powerade Field and Minute Maid Fields at the Omischl Complex will remain open tonight.
  • Lane Reduction: Sam Dam Road
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 4, 2023 – Please be advised that a section of Sam Dam Road will be reduced to a single lane for up to two weeks starting Tuesday Aug. 8 while work to replace a culvert is underway.
