North Bay, ON – June 29, 2023 – Lifeguards will be on duty for the summer season starting tomorrow at Shabogesic Beach. However, due to ongoing recruitment challenges, lifeguards will not be available at Olmsted Beach on Trout Lake until Aug. 1, and they will not be on duty at the Birchaven Cove this year.
Both Shabogesic Beach and Olmsted Beach will be supervised seven days a week from 12 p.m. until 7 p.m. The City continues to actively recruit for additional lifeguards and will make necessary adjustments to provide the best possible beach experience for everyone.
