North Bay Transit offers fare-free rides to voters

North Bay, ON – Oct. 20, 2022 – North Bay Transit will offer fare-free rides on Election Day, Monday, Oct. 24, to help people get to the polls and vote.

Rides will be free to anyone who’s headed to a polling station. No proof of voter registration is required. Riders simply need to notify the driver that they’re going to vote as they board the bus. 

Polls open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

The City has introduced five Super Polls for the 2022 Municipal Election that are strategically-located throughout all areas of the city at which any eligible elector will be able to cast their ballot on Election Day.

Locations include Memorial Gardens at 100 Chippewa Street, West Ferris Arena at 42 Gertrude Street, Davedi Club at 313 Airport Road, Vincent Massey Public School (Annex) at 15 Janey Avenue and Canadore College’s Commerce Court Campus at 60 Commerce Crescent.
