Steve Omischl & Sam Jacks Master Plans

Project description

The City of North Bay is developing Master Plans for the Sam Jacks Recreation Complex and the Steve Omischl Sports Complex to help guide facility improvements and meet community sport and recreation needs over the next ten years.

The project follows a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) process and is being led by consulting firm Trace Planning and Design.

Public engagement for the project is currently underway with targeted consultations with user groups, recreation providers and neighbouring residents. This will be followed by input from the broader community, giving all residents the opportunity to share their perspectives and ideas.

Initial master planning findings will be completed for this spring.

Trace Planning and Design is an interdisciplinary landscape architecture and urban planning firm specializing in community-focused master planning for recreation and public spaces.
