The City of North Bay is always looking for residents willing to take part in its semi-annual Lead Sampling Program.
Residents who receive their water from the City’s water distribution system are encouraged to volunteer. The program involves testing private tap water within homes and businesses for the presence of lead.
The Lead Sampling Program was implemented to test for traces of lead in the distribution system as well as residential and commercial buildings. The lead sampling program helps identify whether and where lead in drinking water may be at levels of concern. Municipalities and regulatory authorities are aware of the issues associated with the corrosion of lead in drinking water distribution systems and are taking the necessary steps to protect the public from exposure to lead.
