The City of North Bay invites residents to participate in its semi-annual Lead Sampling Program.
Residents and businesses connected to the City’s water distribution system are encouraged to volunteer. The program tests tap water inside homes and commercial buildings for traces of lead.
The Lead Sampling Program helps identify areas where lead in drinking water may be at levels of concern. It also supports ongoing efforts to understand and manage the potential for lead corrosion in the distribution system. Municipalities and regulatory authorities use this information to take the necessary steps to protect the public from exposure to lead and ensure the safety of drinking water.
