Fill a Fire Truck with Food

North Bay, ON – Oct. 13, 2023 – North Bay Fire & Emergency Services (NBFES) is asking for public support as it teams up with Parkers Your Independent Grocer and Sobey’s to help the North Bay Food Bank.

NBFES will be on site at both Parkers on Laurentian Avenue and Sobey’s on Algonquin Avenue this week hoping to ‘fill a fire truck’ with donations for the Food Bank of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items.

Donations will be collected at Parkers on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., and at Sobey’s on Thursday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Canned vegetables

 

 

Canned pasta

Canned beans

Canned juice

 

Cereal

 

Oatmeal

Canned meat

 

Boxed macaroni & cheese

Pasta

 

Pasta Sauce

Boxed snack crackers

Peanut butter

Canned soup

 

Canned tomatoes

Milk powder

 

Rice

 

Coffee & tea

 

Sugar & non-sugar sweetener

 

Flour

 

Ensure

Peanut-free lunch snacks for kids

Kids drink boxes

Large sized baby diapers

Shampoo, soap, toothbrushes & toothpaste

 

Feminine hygiene products

Grocery bags – plastic and cloth bags are gladly accepted

 

The North Bay Food Bank also supplies personal hygiene products such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products to our clients.
