North Bay, ON – April 26, 2022 – North Bay residents and visitors attending any of the City’s three arena facilities can now access free public Wi-Fi.
Available at Memorial Gardens and Pete Palangio and West Ferris arenas, the free Wi-Fi network is open to all members of the public using a Wi-Fi-enabled device, such as a laptop computer, tablet, or smartphone.
The City’s Wi-Fi signal will display as “CNB-public wifi” and users will be required to enter “gateway!” when prompted for the password. This information is displayed on signage posted at all three locations.
“Free Wi-Fi access will help modernize and improve our arenas for fans, teams, event organizers and attendees,” said Coun. Johanne Brousseau, Chair of Council’s Community Services Committee. “Those attending competitions and events will be able to share their experiences with friends and family, while teams and event organizers will have the ability post results and updates in real-time.”
