North Bay, ON – June 15, 2022 – Beginning today, a section of Fisher Street will be reduced to two lanes and section of Fifth Avenue will be reduced to a single lane between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until end of day Friday while road and sidewalk improvements are underway.
The work, which is taking place on Fisher Street between Fifth Avenue and Princess Street and on Fifth Avenue between Fisher Street and Sherbrooke Street, involves improvements to drainage and the quality of the sidewalk surface with the removal of settled and deteriorated interlocking brick. Additionally, tactile indicator panels will be installed at the nearby signalized pedestrian crosswalk to meet compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. Asphalt restoration is schedule to follow next week.
