Road Closure: Wallace Road

North Bay, ON – August 5, 2021 – Wallace Road will be closed between Lake Heights Road and Commerce Court for up to five weeks starting Monday, Aug. 9 to allow for the installation of a deep sanitary sewer.

The closure is required due soil conditions encountered during the Wallace Road Sewage Pumping Station construction project, which recently got underway.

Due to the location of the closure, a detour is not feasible. The City is requesting travellers use an alternative route while the work in this area is completed.

Local access to properties and businesses within the closure will be provided. Access to properties north of the construction area will be available by way of Wickstead Avenue, while access to properties to the south of the construction area will be available by way of Seymour Street.

The contractor will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. The City of North Bay thanks residents for their patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure project is underway.
