The City of North Bay, in partnership with the Public Art Advisory Committee (PAAC), invites local and regional artists to submit their artwork for a painted mural at the new North Bay Community and Recreation Centre.

The purpose of the mural is to create an inviting and vibrant entryway that will welcome visitors to the multi-use facility.
The artwork will reflect the heart of our community and inspire a sense of pride by honouring our culture, sports, recreation and shared history. Through vibrant imagery and storytelling, the design will capture generations of movement, teamwork, recreation, and togetherness – from local traditions and outdoor life to the people, families, and activities that bring our community together.
The successful artist will be expected to hand-paint their design onto a primed feature wall.
How to Submit
All submissions must be sent via email to publicart@northbay.ca. Please ensure you follow the specific checklist outlined in the linked PDF. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, June 26, 2026. A confirmation email will be sent within five business days of your application.
