NOTICE OF A PUBLIC MEETING REGARDING
GENERAL AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF NORTH BAY’S
ZONING BY-LAW NO. 2015-30
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of The Corporation of the City of North Bay will hold a Public Meeting under Section 34(13) of the Planning Act by ELECTRONIC PARTICIPATION FORMAT ONLY on Monday, March 21, 2022 @ 5:15 p.m. to provide context of the proposed changes and listen to the Public’s comments.
Due to COVID-19 Emergency, City Council passed By-Law 2020-64 that amends the City of North Bay’s Procedural By-Law to permit electronic participation in meetings for Council, Local Boards and Committees. Therefore, there will not be an in-person meeting; this meeting will be conducted in an electronic format only.
PLEASE NOTE that the electronic meeting will allow for public presentation in a webinar format. Any person wishing to present at the public meeting must contact the City Clerk at karen.mcisaac@northbay.ca or 705-474-0400 ext. 2510 to register as a presenter. Any written submissions received in advance of the meeting will be verbally read out during the meeting at the time the application is considered. Registered presenters will be provided with instructions on how to join the meeting in advance. Information regarding livestreaming of the Public Meeting will be available on the City’s website. Only those individuals who wish to make a presentation need to register with the City Clerk.
Purpose and effect of the proposed amendment to the Zoning By-law No. 2015-30 is to provide new definitions in the By-law for growing industries (Brewery and Distilleries), to decrease the permitted rear yard setback for low density residential zones and increase the permitted lot coverages for low density residential developments and make general technical changes to improve the usability of the Zoning By-law.
There is no key map attached to the notice given because the proposed changes apply to the whole of the City.
