Service Impacts on Roads off Hwy 11 – Significant Weather Event Declared

North Bay, ON – March 16, 2026 – Due to adverse weather conditions and the OPP closure of Highway 11 North, the City of North Bay is currently unable to service municipal roads located off Highway 11. As a result, a Significant Weather Event has been declared for the following roads under Section 4.1(1) of Ontario Regulation 239/02:

This declaration acknowledges that, due to current conditions, the municipality may not be able to meet the maintenance timelines set out in Provincial Minimum Maintenance Standards, and these roads may not be maintained to typical service levels during this time.

Motorists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and to exercise caution if travel is required during the Significant Weather Event.

This declaration takes effect at 2:30 p.m. on March 16, 2026. Updates will be provided once the Significant Weather Event and the OPP road closure have ended and normal services resume.
