The 2026 Municipal Election will be conducted using online voting, which means all ballots will be cast electronically.
Residents can vote from anywhere using their own computer, tablet, or smartphone. Alternatively, they can visit a voter assistance centre and use a computer provided by the City; staff will be available to help those who need assistance.

Voting via the Internet takes about 5 minutes and will require your Voting PIN and your date of birth.
Before voting opens, you'll receive a Voter Information Letter in the mail to access your online ballot. This is where you will find the Voting Website Address and your unique Voting PIN.
Visit the secure Voting Website using your computer, tablet, or smartphone. Enter your unique Voting PIN and Date of Birth, then select Verify. The Voting period is open between 10 a.m. on October 15, 2026 and 8 p.m. on October 26, 2026. Please refer to your Voter Information Letter for the website link.
Read the Declaration and Acknowledgment Statement. Once you've finished, select I Agree, then click Proceed.
Select the candidate of your choice for each office or move through any acclaimed office by clicking Next.
All eligible voters will receive a Voter Information Letter in the mail before the voting period. This letter will be what is used to access your ballot.

Voter Information Letters will be mailed out in early October.
Eligible voters should receive their letters by October 15.
If you haven't received your letter by October 15, visit City Hall or a voting location to get added to the voter's list.
Staff will be available in the lobby of City Hall Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between Oct. 15 and Oct. 23. Staff will also be available on Oct. 26 at both Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens and WFCU Place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Bring a piece of photo ID and proof of address to make any changes to your information.
If you don't have access to a device or internet, or would like assistance, visit the main floor lobby of City Hall (200 McIntyre St. East) on the following dates, where computers and election staff will be available.
On Monday, October 26, 2026 between 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. if you don't have access to a device or internet, or would like assistance, there will be two (2) Voter Assistance Centres open:
