  • Algonquin-Front-Jane Intersection Improvements
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 12, 2022 – Work to improve the intersection of Algonquin Avenue, Front and Jane Streets is scheduled to begin Sept. 13.  
  • Wallace Road - One Lane Open
    Removal of the old sewage pumping station on Wallace Road and street restoration will be taking place over the next several weeks.
  • Lees Road Rehabilitation
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 12, 2022 – The rehabilitation of Lees Road, between Trout Lake Road and Tower Drive, will get underway Sept. 13.
  • Queen Elizabeth Condolence Book
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 9, 2022 – In recognition of Queen Elizabeth’s passing the City of North Bay has placed a book of condolence for members of the community to sign. The book will remain in the main floor lobby of City Hall for the 10 day mourning period.
  • Heritage Committee recognizes Jack Garland Airport and CFB North Bay
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 7, 2022 – A new interpretive Heritage Site Plaque detailing the history of both the North Bay Jack Garland Airport and Canadian Forces Base North Bay was unveiled today.
  • Judge Avenue watermain project enters final phase
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 6, 2022 –  A section of Judge Avenue, between Lee Avenue and Lakeshore Drive, will be closed for approximately two weeks starting Friday, Sept. 9 in preparation for the final phase of an ongoing watermain installation project.
  • Kinsmen Trail Extension
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 1, 2022 – Work to extend the Kinsmen Trail along Airport Road, between the intersection at Algonquin Avenue and the trailhead near the Davedi Club, is set to begin next week.
  • Trout Lake Road Reconstruction
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 30 2022 – The reconstruction of a section of Trout Lake Road between Mountainview Drive and Lees Road is on-track for completion by the end of September.
  • Mulligan Street/Nightingale Drive Pathway Closure
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 29, 2022 – The pathway between Mulligan Street and Nightingale Drive, including access via Coombes Park, will be closed for up to two weeks starting today while repairs are underway. The work includes resurfacing and a culvert replacement.
  • Multi-Use Court Ribbon Official Cutting
    The City of North Bay celebrated its newly constructed multi-use courts today. The celebration included an official ribbon cutting involving Mayor Al McDonald, local federal and provincial dignitaries and members of the North Bay Spartans basketball club.

    Mayor Al McDonald will be joined by a representative for Nipissing­Timiskaming MP Anthony Rota, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli and members of the North Bay Spartans basketball club for an official ribbon-cutting for North Bay's new multi-use courts.

    North Bay, ON – Aug. 10, 2022 – The City of North Bay, in partnership with Sellebration Productions, will be transforming the Kiwanis Bandshell at the North Bay Waterfront into an outdoor theatre on Aug. 27.
  • Cedar Heights Road Closure
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 10, 2022 – Cedar Heights Road, between Highway 11 North and the intersection of College Drive and Larocque Road, will be closed for an additional day this week. The road, which has been closed daily since Monday, will be closed again on Thursday between 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. while pulverizing and grading is completed. Access for emergency services, transit and local traffic will be maintained
  • Judge Avenue Closure postponed
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 9, 2022 – A road closure planned for this week on Judge Avenue, between Lee Avenue and Lakeshore Drive, as part of an ongoing watermain installation project has been postponed. An update will be provided at a later date.

    North Bay, ON – Aug 5, 2022 – The City of North Bay will officially dedicate the football field at the Steve Omischl Sports Field Complex in honour of North Bay native Mike O’Shea in recognition of his successful career as a player and coach.
  • Road Closure: Cedar Heights Road
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 5, 2022 – There will be daily closures on a section of Cedar Heights Road, between Highway 11 North and the intersection of College Drive and Larocque Road, over the course of three days next week while pulverizing and grading takes place.

    North Bay, ON – Aug. 3, 2022 – The City of North Bay will launch a new pilot initiative this fall aimed at assisting local businesses struggling to find workers.
