North Bay, ON – May 2, 2024 –The City of North Bay has relocated its sandbag filling operations from Sunset and Champlain parks to the Public Works Facility at 1399 Franklin Street due to decreased demand.
Sandbags remain accessible for residents at the Public Works Facility on a self-serve basis, with no charge. Sandbags are intended for residents in areas facing potential shoreline damage along Lake Nipissing, to reinforce breakwalls and prevent water from reaching structures. Residents can return sandbags to the Public Works Facility once they are no longer needed.
