North Bay, ON – June 23, 2023 – The City of North Bay would like to remind residents that a street work permit and/or private approach permit is required prior to any installation or alteration of driveways, including repaving, within the municipal right of way.
There have been several recent instances within the City of work occurring without proper permits as a result of door-to-door solicitation for asphalt and paving services.
It is important that the City approve any such works to avoid potential conflicts with municipal road maintenance or construction activities and to ensure that all standards are met.
Residents are also encouraged to exercise caution when unsolicited contractors knock on your door offering services.
