North Bay, ON – Sept. 8, 2020 – The City of North Bay is introducing sharrows and ‘Share the Road’ signage on several streets this fall.
Sharrow locations include Ferguson and Front streets and Marshall Avenue East.
Part of the City’s Active Transportation Master Plan, the sharrows - road markings showing a bicycle with two chevrons - and signage are intended to remind cyclists and motorists to share the road.
This project, which is being supported by the Ontario Municipal Commuter Cycling Program, will begin in late September and is expected to be completed by Oct. 30, 2020.
