  • Paving improvements: Marshall Avenue Intersection
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 25, 2021 – Lakeshore Drive at Marshall Avenue will be reduced to two lanes and a section of Marshall Avenue will be closed on Thursday to allow for asphalt restoration improvements to take place.
  • Paving improvements: Lakeshore Drive
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 24, 2021 – Lakeshore Drive will be reduced to two lanes between Fodor and Charles streets on Wednesday while asphalt restoration improvements are underway.
  • Bike Lanes added to Main Street West
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 19, 2021 – Painting of new bike lanes along Main Street West will begin this week as part of the finishing touches of the West Link multi-use pathway.
  • EMERGENCY LANE REDUCTION 49 LAKESHORE DRIVE
    Please be advised that emergency work to repair a collapsed sanitary main at 49 Lakeshore Drive is currently underway.
  • Condo Trail Maintenance
    North Bay, ON – Aug. 9, 2021 – The Waterfront Trail (Condo Trail) between Marathon Beach and Timmins Street will be closed Tuesday, Aug.10 from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. for tree maintenance. This will include removal of diseased and damage branches, pruning to improve the structure of the tree and removal of dead trees that pose a safety risk to trail users.
  • Road Closure: Wallace Road
    North Bay, ON – August 5, 2021 – Wallace Road will be closed between Lake Heights Road and Commerce Court for up to five weeks starting Monday, Aug. 9 to allow for the installation of a deep sanitary sewer.
  • Sidewalk and curb replacement
    North Bay, ON – July 21, 2021 – Sidewalk and curb replacement on Lakeshore Drive and Marshall Avenue will be taking place starting Thursday.
  • Grass fields closed
    North Bay, ON – July 20 2021 –Due to extremely wet conditions, ball diamonds, soccer fields and football fields have been closed today.  All games and practices are cancelled. Powerade Field and Minute Maid Fields at the Omischl Complex will remain open tonight.
  • Culvert replacement closes Lees Road
    North Bay, ON – July 20, 2021 – Lees Road will be closed to traffic between Trout Lake Road and Tower Drive this afternoon while crews replace a culvert that failed due, in part, to recent high water levels and surface runoff.   Although the road will be closed to through traffic while the work is underway, local traffic to homes will be permitted.

    North Bay, ON – July 15 2021 –Due to extremely wet conditions, ball diamonds, soccer fields and football fields have been closed today. 
  • Sidewalk accessibility improvements
    North Bay, ON – July 14, 2021 – Please be advised that work to install tactile indicators at signalized intersections on McKeown Avenue at Champlain Street and at the A&W entrance to the McKeown Commons plaza will be taking place Thursday and Friday, starting at 7 a.m.
  • City reaches $20-million PFAS cleanup agreement with DND
    North Bay, ON – July 13, 2021 – The City of North Bay and the Department of National Defence (DND) have reached an agreement that will see the federal government fund the majority of costs related to the remediation of per- and polyfluoroalkylated substances (PFAS) at Jack Garland Airport.

    North Bay, ON – July 8, 2021 –Due to extremely wet conditions, ball diamonds, soccer fields and football fields have been closed today. All games and practices are cancelled. Powerade Field and Minute Maid Fields at the Omischl Complex will remain open tonight.
  • Cassells Street lane closure
    North Bay, ON – July 1, 2021 – Cassells Street will be reduced to a single lane in each direction at Third Avenue for approximately four days starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday July 5. The lane closure is required to while work takes place to upgrade water and sewer mains on Third Avenue.

    NORTH BAY, June 30, 2021– For Canada Day celebrations, North Bay Fire & Emergency Services cautions that ‘backyard’ fireworks can be dangerous as each year in Ontario, fire works cause major fires and are also the cause of severe injuries.

    North Bay, ON – June 21, 2021 –The City of North Bay Roads Department will begin installing new storm sewers and sidewalks on Glenwood Road and Parkwood Drive today as part of a multi-year project. 
  • Olmsted Beach made more accessible
    North Bay, ON – June 18, 2021 – Installation of a new inclusive playground at Olmstead Beach will be begin Monday as part of accessible upgrades at the site, including paved pathways and parking.
