  • North Bay Santa Claus Parade seeking entries
    North Bay, ON – Oct. 25, 2022 – The North Bay Santa Claus Parade, which is set roll next month, is seeking entries. The parade will kick off at noon on Sunday, Nov. 20, beginning at the staging area near High Street and moving along Chippewa Street to Ferguson Street and on to Main Street.
  • North Bay Transit adds fixed route to McKeown Corridor
    North Bay, ON – Oct. 25, 2022 – North Bay Transit riders travelling in the McKeown Corridor area will have a fixed-route option during most weekday evenings, starting Monday, Oct. 31.

    North Bay, ON – Oct. 25, 2022 – Certified election results for North Bay’s 2022 Municipal Election have been posted to the City of North Bay website. Electors voted for one mayor, 10 councillors, and four school trustees. All offices are held for a four-year term.

    North Bay, ON – Oct. 11, 2022 – Voting for the 2022 Municipal Election in North Bay starts this week with the first advance poll opening on Wednesday and online voting starting on Thursday.
  • Road Closure: Airport Road
    North Bay, ON – Oct. 7, 2022 – A section of the 1,300 block of Airport Road, between Carmichael Drive and the intersection of Bob Wood Drive and Little Down Lane, will be closed for up to two days starting Tuesday Oct. 11 at 7:30 a.m. while a cross culvert is replaced and ditching is completed.
  • Temporary traffic controls to be lifted at Mountainview/Wickstead
    North Bay, ON – Oct. 7, 2022 – Temporary stop signs installed on Mountainview Drive at Wickstead Avenue as part of the controls implemented for the Trout Lake Road reconstruction project will be removed Wednesday, Oct. 12. The project is nearing completion and the intersection is returning to its original configuration with stop signs on Wickstead Avenue only. Please drive with caution and care.

    North Bay, ON – Oct. 6, 2022 – The City of North Bay has issued more than $200 million in building permits so far this year, surpassing last year’s all-time record of more than $150 million.
  • Algonquin-Front-Jane Intersection Improvements (1)
    North Bay, ON – Oct. 1, 2022 – Algonquin Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic in both directions for a three-week period starting Monday, Oct. 3 as part of ongoing intersection improvements.

    North Bay, ON – Sept. 26, 2022 – North Bay Transit has added a new bus stop at the Ontario Northland Bus Terminal on Station Road as part of its dynamic dispatching service.
  • Truth and Reconciliation Day
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 26, 2022 – In recognition of Truth and Reconciliation Day, the City of North Bay will be raising an Every Child Matters flag at 2 p.m. on Sept. 29 at Leger Square, outside City Hall. The public is invited to attend.
  • Wet weather closes fields
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 21, 2022 –Due to extremely wet conditions, ball diamonds, soccer fields and football fields have been closed today. All games and practices are cancelled. Powerade Field and Minute Maid Fields at the Omischl Complex will remain open tonight.
  • Splash Pad to close for the season
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 16, 2022 – The Family of Rotary’s Splash Pad will close for the season as of Tuesday, Sept. 20. The washroom facilities at the Splash Pad will also close for the season, along with those located at Amelia Park, Armstrong Park, Birchaven Cove and Portage Park.
  • Shabogesic Beach Dedication
    North Bay, ON – Sept. 16, 2022 – The City of North Bay will hold an official naming ceremony for Shabogesic Beach in recognition of Nipissing First Nation heritage as an important part of North Bay’s history. Mayor Al McDonald and Nipissing First Nation Chief Scott McLeod will deliver remarks during the ceremony and will unveil a monument in honor of Nbisiing Nation Chief Michel Zhaabgiizhik (Shabogesic), for whom the beach has been renamed.  All members of the public are invited to attend.
