The Waste Diversion Facility (WDF) is home to a number of drop-off depots that help residents safely and responsibly manage materials that don’t belong in curbside collection.
Drop-off depots at the Waste Diversion Facility: household hazardous waste, leaf and yard waste, public recycling, scrap metal, and electronics.
Residents can also take advantage of our paint reuse program, which makes good-quality leftover paint available for others to take, free of charge.

Drop off household hazardous waste, like paint, batteries, oil, adhesives, aerosols, fuel, lightbulbs, and household cleaners free of charge.
Open to residents of North Bay and participating surrounding municipalities. There is a 60-litre limit per week.

Bring your residential flower clippings, grass clippings, and leaf waste free of charge. The materials will be converted into compost. Brush is not accepted.
Businesses are subject to fees.
Drop off household electronics, like computers, televisions, radios, speakers, DVD players, and telephones. Disposal is free of charge.
Items with refrigerant are banned.
Drop off items like snow blowers, bicycles, filing cabinets, pots and pans, patio furniture, and barbecues free of charge.
Pick up good quality leftover paint free of charge.
