The Colgan-Liddle block was built in 1915. The building at 114, 118, 122 & 124 Main Street East is located at the north side of Main Street East, east of Ferguson Street and west of  Wyld Street. The Colgan-Liddle block is a two story commercial structure. In the year of this report (2019), the block is occupied from west to east by: Splurge Clothing, Whitewater Gallery and Moose FM. Mitchell Jensen Architects occupy the upper level. The 100 East block of Main Street has been continuously known as a vital commercial area since the arrival of settlers of European decent (1882). Variations of the original facade, and complete facade alteration at the street level may be observed through the three storefronts. Photos serve to highlight these differences, although it has been difficult to source quality historical photos that present the Colgan-Liddle block directly in the foreground. The main floor of each unit found within the block is mixed use, from commercial to radio to public art gallery and collective.

The Colgan-Liddle block, seen in this 2019 photo, is thought to be one of the original permanent merchant blocks within the City of North Bay. The building was erected at a time when Main Street in North Bay was still a dirt road. Main Street was paved in 1920-21, at which time semi-permanent sidewalks were installed.
