The City of North Bay will host a public open house on Oct. 28 in the City Hall Lobby (200 McIntyre St. E) from 4–6 p.m. to share findings from a Road Safety Review for Algonquin Avenue, conducted by CIMA+ in response to community concerns about pedestrian safety and collisions.
The review explored potential solutions, including a pedestrian signal and crossover, but these were not recommended due to site conditions and provincial guidelines. Key recommendations include:
City staff and CIMA+ representatives will be available to answer questions and gather feedback. Recommendations will also be presented as information at the Committee Meeting of Council later that evening, with community input helping to refine them before a future Council report.
